A civil activist imprisoned in Qarchak Varamin Prison has been held in solitary confinement for the past seven days as a disciplinary measure and is currently on hunger strike in protest. Following the Israeli attack on Evin Prison, they were transferred to Qarchak along with dozens of other detainees.
Narges Mansouri is a civil rights activist and a member of the Tehran and Suburbs Bus Company workers' union. She is one of the 14 signatories of the open letter which demanded the resignation of Ali Khamenei, Iran's supreme leader, the transition from the Islamic Republic, and the drafting of a new "Constitution".
The other signatories of this letter are "Shahla Jahanbin", "Farangis Mazloum", "Fatemeh Sepehri", "Zahra Jamali", "Giti Pour Fazel", "Hourieh Entesari", and "Shahla Ansari"; All were arrested and taken to court.
Mansouri, who is also the daughter of a martyred veteran, was charged in the twenty-sixth branch of the Tehran Revolutionary Court headed by Judge "Iman Afshari" on charges of "gathering and colluding against the security of the country" and "propaganda activity against the regime." She was sentenced to six years of imprisonment and a two-year ban on membership in political parties and groups.

Protesting the status of her case and the prosecutor's decisions, has been on hunger strike since Monday, Ordibehesht 3rd, 1403 (22nd April 2024).
She was sentenced to three years in prison by Branch 28 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court due to a new case opened against him during her imprisonment.
Ms Mansouri, who has been on hunger and medication strike since Dey 4th 1402 (25th Dec 2023), is now facing an failing health in Evin Prison.
She has committed herself to hunger and medications strike since the 4th of Dey 1402 (25th Dec 2023) in protest for the lack of consideration of her demands.
A civil activist, who is serving her sentence in Evin prison and who was previously sent on medical leave, was arrested by the security forces in Khoy city on Friday, Azar 10th 1402 (1st Dec 2023) and returned to this prison.
Transferred to Hospital for a surgery.
