Ehsan Khodadadi

The mother of Ehsan Khodadadi has released a video in which she emphasizes her son’s innocence and alleges that he has been subjected to a fabricated case. She revealed that security forces had coerced them into remaining silent and refraining from publicizing his case by making deceptive promises of his release. The mother stated that she is blind and that Ehsan has been her only source of support and livelihood. Ehsan Khodadadi, a 32-year-old Turk citizen from Malekan, was sentenced to death by Branch 1 of the Revolutionary Court of Tabriz, presided over by Judge Reza Abdi, on the alleged charges of “espionage for Israel” and “corruption on earth.” The inhumane sentence was issued while he had reportedly spent four months in solitary confinement, without access to a lawyer or any contact with his family, and had been subjected to severe physical torture to obtain forced confessions.
