According to published information, he was fatally shot in the Simin Junction area of Isfahan on 9 January 2026 (19 Dey 1404). He was killed in front of his wife. After one week, on 15 January 2026 (25 Dey 1404), his family was able to recover his body from Bagh-e Rezvan Cemetery in Esfahan.
