In recent days, Afshin Sobhi, Majid Rostamnejad, and Mahmoud Danishian, residents of Ardabil Province, were summoned to the Monitoring and Follow-up Department of the Ministry of Intelligence in the province after receiving separate phone calls.
A source familiar with the matter reported that those who contacted these civil activists threatened them with arrest if they did not appear at the Ardabil Province Intelligence Office.
It should be noted that in recent days, in addition to these civil activists, eleven other national civil activists from Ardabil Province were summoned to the Ardabil Intelligence Office after receiving phone calls. This followed protests they organized regarding the mismanagement and ongoing drying of Lake Urmia.
Majid Rostamnejad had previously been arrested by security forces on November 7, 2022, during nationwide protests. After undergoing interrogation and being informed of the charges, he was released on bail of 550 million tomans on November 12, 2022.

به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران، طی روزهای اخیر، افشین صبحی، مجید رستم نژاد، محمود دانشیان، شهروندان ساکن استان اردبیل، با دریافت تماسهای تلفنی جداگانه به اداره نظارت و پیگیری وزارت اطلاعات در آن استان احضار شدند.
به نقل از یک منبع مطلع در گفتگو با گزارشگر حقوق بشر در ایران:”افراد تماس گیرنده با این فعالان مدنی، تهدید کردند که در صورت عدم حضور افشین صبحی، مجید رستم نژاد، محمود دانشیان، در اداره اطلاعات استان اردبیل، آنها را بازداشت کردند.”
لازم به اشاره است، طی روزهای گذشته، علاوه بر این فعالان مدنی، یازده تن دیگر از فعالان ملی مدنی استان اردبیل، با دریافت تماسهای تلفنی در پی اعتراضاتی که در خصوص سوءمدیریت و تداوم خشکی دریاچه ارومیه برگزار کرده بودند به اداره اطلاعات استان اردبیل احضار شده بودند.
مجید رستم نژاد، پیش از این هم در تاریخ ۱۶ آبان ماه ۱۴۰۱، در جریان اعتراضات سراسری، توسط نیروهای امنیتی بازداشت و پس از طی مراحل بزاجویی ها و تفهیم اتهام، در تاریخ ۲۱آبان ۱۴۰۱، به تودیع وثیقه ای به مبلغ ۵۵۰میلیون تومان آزاد شد.
