On Wednesday, January 17, 2024, Abdollah Momeni, a political activist residing in Tehran, was arrested after being summoned to the First Branch of the Enforcement of Judgments at the Prosecutor's Office of District 33 in Tehran. He was transferred to Evin Prison to serve his one-year prison sentence.

According to the report, Abdollah Momeni's arrest followed his summons to serve his one-year prison sentence.

On April 27, 2023, Abdollah Momeni was arrested after security forces raided his home due to his participation and interview in a Clubhouse session focused on discussions to save Iran. After being transferred to one of the security wards of Evin Prison and undergoing interrogation and then investigation on April 30, 2023, he was released on bail until the completion of the legal proceedings.

Previously, Abdollah Momeni was also arrested in connection with the nationwide protests in 2009 and was sentenced to five years of imprisonment after the legal proceedings.

چهارشنبه ۲۷ دی ماه ۱۴۰۲، عبدالله مومنی، فعال سیاسی، ساکن تهران، پس از احضار به شعبه اول اجرای احکام دادسرای ناحیه ۳۳ تهران، بازداشت و برای تحمل حبس تعزیری خود به زندان اوین، منتقل شد. این فعال سیاسی در حال تحمل حبس تعزیری ۱ ساله خود است.

براساس این گزارش، بازداشت عبدالله مومنی، در پی احضار وی برای تحمل حبس تعزیری ۱ ساله وی صورت گرفته است.

عبدالله مومنی، در تاریخ ۷ اردیبهشت ماه ۱۴۰۲، پس از یورش نیروهای امنیتی به منزل وی به علت حضور و مصاحبه وی در جلسه ای در کلاب هاووس که با موضوع گفت وگو برای نجات ایران برگزار شده بود بازداشت و پس از انتقال به یکی از بندهای امنیتی زندان اوین و طی مراحل بازجویی و سپس بازپرسی در تاریخ ۱۰ اردیبهشت ماه ۱۴۰۲، با تودیع قرار وثیقه تا اتمام مراحل دادرسی آزاد شد.

عبدالله مومنی، پیشتر هم در ارتباط با اعتراضات سراسری ۱۳۸۸، بازداشت و پس از طی مراحل دادرسی به تحمل ۵ سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شده بود.
