According to human rights sources, on 20 September 2023, Tareq Rahimpour, a resident of the village of Oyinang and living in Sanandaj, was arrested by security forces and taken to an undisclosed location. Reports indicate that he was detained at his workplace in the presence of 12 security officers and was subjected to physical assault during the arrest.
As of the time of this report, no information is available regarding the reason for the arrest or the charges against Tareq Rahimpour.
Additionally, reports show that Tareq Rahimpour was previously arrested on 4 May 2020 by intelligence officers in Sanandaj. After undergoing interrogation and being informed of the charges, he was released on bail. During the trial, he was accused of collaborating with a Kurdish opposition party and disobeying officers' orders, resulting in a suspended sentence of four years imprisonment.
