Kazem Ali Nejad Baraeilu, a political prisoner, is currently serving his sentence in Evin Prison. Reports indicate that he suffers from heart and kidney diseases and has been deprived of adequate medical care.
It has been reported that he suffers from multiple health issues, including heart disease, high blood pressure, kidney failure, and diabetes. Additionally, it was reported that he experienced a heart attack one night in prison and was transferred to a hospital. Despite a specialist doctor's diagnosis indicating the need for surgery and specialised medical attention, he has been denied appropriate medical care.
Kazem Ali Nejad was arrested by security forces at his home and transferred to Greater Tehran Prison on 22 January 2022. He was eventually sentenced by the judiciary to four years, four months, and 15 days in prison on charges including "assembly and collusion to commit crimes against national security, propaganda against the regime, and insulting the founder of the Islamic Republic and the leadership." On 12 February 2023, while serving his sentence in Evin Prison, he was released following the implementation of a judiciary directive related to his case.
On 20 November 2023, he was arrested by security forces in the city of Eslamshahr and transferred to Ward 1A and then Ward 2A of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Evin Prison. After completing interrogation and investigation procedures at the Branch of the District 33 Prosecutor's Office in Tehran, he was moved to Ward 4 of Evin Prison.
In May 2024, Mr. Ali Nejad was sentenced to five years of imprisonment by Branch 36 of the Tehran Province Court of Appeals. This sentence was issued in relation to the charge of assembly and collusion with the intent to commit crimes against national security. The mentioned judicial branch acquitted Mr. Ali Nejad of charges such as insulting sanctities and propaganda against the regime.
On 11 September 2024, in protest against overcrowding in Evin Prison and the lack of adherence to the principle of separation of crimes, he set himself on fire. He was returned to Evin Prison one day after being transferred to a hospital. In early November 2024, he was forcibly transferred by Evin Prison authorities to Ghezel Hesar Prison in Karaj. However, after a few hours and an attempt to harm himself, he was returned to Evin Prison.
کاظم علی نژاد بارائلو، زندانی سیاسی، دوران محکومیت خود را در زندان اوین سپری می کند. گزارش ها حاکی از آن است که وی از بیماری های قلبی و کلیوی رنج می برد و از رسیدگی مناسب پزشکی محروم مانده است.
گفته شده است که وی از بیماری های متعددی از جمله قلبی، فشار خون بالا، نارسایی کلیه و دیابت بالا رنج می برد. همچنین گزارش شده که او در یکی از شب ها در زندان دچار حمله قلبی شده و به بیمارستان اعزام شده است. علیرغم تشخیص پزشک متخصص مبنی بر نیاز به عمل جراحی و رسیدگی پزشکی تخصصی، وی از رسیدگی پزشکی مناسب محروم مانده است.
کاظم علی نژاد ، در تاریخ ۲ بهمن ماه ۱۴۰۰ توسط نیروهای امنیتی در منزل شخصی خود بازداشت و به زندان تهران بزرگ منتقل شده بود. او نهایتاً توسط مراجع قضایی به اتهاماتی از جمله "اجتماع و تبانی برای ارتکاب جرم بر ضد امنیت کشور، فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام، اهانت به بنیانگذار جمهوری اسلامی و رهبری" به ۴ سال و ۴ ماه و ۱۵ روز حبس محکوم شد. در تاریخ ۲۳ بهمن ماه ۱۴۰۱، در حالی که دوران حبس خود در زندان اوین سپری می کرد، در راستای اعمال بخشنامه قوه قضائیه به پرونده قضایی وی آزاد شد.
در تاریخ ۲۹ آبان ماه ۱۴۰۲، توسط نیروهای امنیتی در شهرستان اسلامشهر بازداشت و پس از انتقال به بند۱ الف و سپس بند ۲ الف سپاه پاسداران واقع در زندان اوین و تکمیل مراحل بازجویی ها و سپس بازپرسی در شعبه دادسرای ناحیه ۳۳ تهران، به اندرزگاه ۴ زندان اوین، منتقل شد.
در اردیبهشت ماه ۱۴۰۳، آقای علی نژاد توسط شعبه ۳۶ دادگاه تجدیدنظر استان تهران به پنج سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شد. این محکومیت در خصوص اتهام اجتماع و تبانی به قصد ارتکاب جرم علیه امنیت کشور، برای او صادر شد. شعبه قضایی مذکور آقای علی نژاد را بابت اتهاماتی همچون توهین به مقدسات و فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام، تبرئه کرد.
در تاریخ ۲۰ شهریورماه ۱۴۰۳ در اعتراض به تراکم بالای جمعیت در زندان اوین و عدم رعایت اصل تفکیک جرائم، دست به خودسوزی زد. او یک روز بعد از انتقال به بیمارستان، به زندان اوین بازگردانده شد. در اوایل آبان ماه ۱۴۰۳، در اقدامی اجباری از سوی مسئولان زندان اوین، به زندان قزلحصار کرج منتقل شد اما پس از چند ساعت، پس از اقدام به زدن رگ دست خود، مجددا به زندان اوین بازگردانده شد.
