On Wednesday, December 18, 2024, Fouad Siros Fathi, a resident of Sanandaj, the capital of Kurdistan Province, and a political prisoner held in Evin Prison, is serving his prison sentence without being granted medical leave or transfer to a specialized medical center outside the prison.
A knowledgeable source reported that despite Mr. Fathi suffering from a lung infection and experiencing breathing difficulties, his medical treatment has been limited to visits to the prison's infirmary. Given the limited medical facilities available there, Fouad Fathi was transferred to Taleghani Hospital in Tehran on December 14, 2024, where he received initial medical treatment before being returned to prison.
It is noteworthy that Fouad Siros Fathi was arrested by security forces in Tehran on November 4, 2023. After being transferred to Evin Prison and undergoing interrogation and indictment proceedings at Branch 7 of the Prosecutor's Office in District 33 of Tehran, he was moved to Ward 4 of the quarantine section of Evin Prison.
This labor activist, residing in Tehran, had previously been arrested on April 26, 2019, during workers' gatherings on International Workers' Day, along with 12 other labor activists in Karaj, by security forces. He was released after several hours of interrogation on the evening of April 26, 2019.
For the second time, this labor activist was arrested by security forces in Tehran on November 4, 2023, and after being transferred to Evin Prison and undergoing interrogation and indictment proceedings at Branch 7 of the Prosecutor's Office in District 33 of Tehran, he was moved to Ward 4 of the quarantine section of Evin Prison.
During the judicial proceedings, Fouad Fathi was tried by Judge Iman Afshari, head of Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court. He was sentenced to a total of four years of imprisonment, two years of travel ban, two years of prohibition from participating in or joining political, social, or cultural parties, groups, and associations, and a two-year ban on residing in Tehran Province and neighboring provinces for the charges of "membership in opposition groups with the intent to disrupt national security - the Worker-Communist Party and Komala" and "propaganda activities against the regime."

به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران، امروز چهارشنبه ۲۸ آذر ماه ۱۴۰۳، فواد سیروس فتحی، اهل شهر سنندج مرکز استان کردستان و زندانی سیاسی محبوس در زندان اوین، در حالی دوران حبس تعزیری خود را سپری می کند که از اعزام به مرخصی درمانی یا اعزام به مرکز درمانی تخصصی خارج از زندان محروم شده است.
به نقل از یک فرد مطلع در گفتگو با گزارشگر حقوق بشر در ایران:”با توجه به اینکه آقای فتحی از بیماری عفونت ریه در رنج است و نفس کشیدن وی با مشکل مواجه شده اما درمان این زندانی سیاسی فقط تا حد اعزام به بهداری زندان خلاصه شده است و با توجه به اینکه دسترسی به امکانات درمانی در بهداری زندان بسیار محدود است این فواد فتحی در تاریخ ۲۳ آذر ماه ۱۴۰۳، به بیمارستان طالقانی تهران، اعرام و پس از انجام اقدامات درمانی اولیه به زندان بازگردانده شد.”
لازم به اشاره است، فواد سیروس فتحی، در تاریخ ۱۳ آبان ماه ۱۴۰۲، توسط نیروهای امنیتی در تهران، دستگیر و پس از انتقال به زندان اوین و طی مراحل بازجویی ها و تفهیم اتهام در شعبه ۷ بازپرسی دادسرای ناحیه ۳۳ تهران، به اندرزگاه ۴ بند قرنطینه زندان اوین، منتقل شد.
این فعال کارگری ساکن تهران، پیش از این هم در تاریخ ۶ اردیبهشت ۱۳۹۸، در جریان برگزاری تجمعات کارگران به مناسبت روز جهانی کارگر، به همراه ۱۲ تن از فعالان کارگری در شهر کرج از سوی نیروهای امنیتی، بازداشت و پس از چند ساعت بازجویی عصر ۶ اردیبهشت ۱۳۹۸، آزاد شده بود.
این فعال کارگری۷ برای دومین مرتبه هم در تاریخ ۱۳ آبان ماه ۱۴۰۲، توسط نیروهای امنیتی در تهران، دستگیر و پس از انتقال به زندان اوین و طی مراحل بازجویی ها و تفهیم اتهام در شعبه ۷ بازپرسی دادسرای ناحیه ۳۳ تهران، به اندرزگاه ۴ بند قرنطینه زندان اوین، منتقل شد.
با آغاز مراحل دادرسی فواد فتحی، توسط قاضی ایمان افشاری ـ رئیس شعبه ۲۶ دادگاه انقلاب تهران، محاکمه و از بابت اتهام «عضویت در گروههای مخالف نظام به قصد برهم زدن امینت کشور ـ حزب کمونیست کارگری و کوموله» و «فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام» در مجموع به تحمل ۴ سال حبس تعزیری، دو سال منع خروج از کشور، دو سال منع فعالیت و عضویت در احزاب، گروهها و دسته جات اجتماعی، سیاسی و فرهنگی و همچنین به ۲ سال منع اقامت در استان تهران و استان های همجوار محکوم شد.
