Firoozeh Kalantari unexpectedly disappeared on 16 February 1997. Witnesses reported that several individuals entered her office and took her away. Manouchehr Sanei also went missing 24 hours later. Sanei left his home on Rezaei Alley, near Tajrish Square, around noon for his daily walk and to visit a friend who was a painter, but he did not return.
On 21 February, their bodies were discovered in the Lashgark Heights of Tehran. The bodies were found together near Lashgark, close to the Tehranpars Bridge.
According to the forensic report, both individuals were killed on 20 February. Until 26 March, there was no information about their bodies at the forensic institute. On that day, they were identified, and it took about two weeks for the bodies to be released. Both had sustained 13 stab wounds, similar to the Forouhars. It appears that Sanei had died from a heart attack before the stabbing, while the cause of death for Firoozeh Kalantari was reported as a blow to the head with a steel object.
فیروزه کلانتری ابتدا به نحو غیر منتظره ای در تاریخ ۲۷/۱۱/۱۳۷۵ ناپدید شد. شاهدان روایت کرده بودند که چند نفر وارد دفتر کار وی شده و او را با خود برده بودند. منوچهر صانعی نیز ۲۴ ساعت پس از وی مفقود می گردد. صانعی حوالی ظهر برای قدم زدن روزانه و سر زدن به یکی از دوستان نقاش از خانه اش واقع در کوچه رضایی (نزدیک میدان تجریش) خارج شد و دیگر بازنگشت.
در روز سوم اسفند جنازه های آنها در ارتفاعات لشگرک تهران پیدا شد. جنازه ها در کنار هم در حوالی لشگرک، پل تهران پارس، پیدا شدند.
طبق گزارش پزشکی قانونی روز اول اسفند هر دو آنها کشته شده بودند. تا روز ششم فروردین کسی از جنازه آن دو در پزشکی قانونی خبر نداشت. آن روز شناسایی شد و دو هفته ای طول کشید تا جنازه ها را تحویل دادند. هر دو آنها به شیوه فروهرها ۱۳ ضربه کارد خورده بودند. گویا صانعی پیش از ضربات کارد بر اثر سکته در گذشته بود و علت مرگ فیروزه کلانتری اصابت شیئی فولادی به سرش ذکر شده است.
