Pouria was from Izeh and a student in Shushtar. He was the eldest child in his family and belonged to the Bakhtiari ethnic group.
On 22 October 2022, he lost his life due to a direct gunshot during protests outside the Shushtar University of Medical Sciences. A short video of his funeral ceremony in Izeh is available.
His family faced pressure to state that Pouria had committed suicide.
