Aref Gol Mohammadi, a resident of Fardis, Karaj, was among those killed by security forces. Prior to widespread public gatherings in the streets of Iran, protests were ongoing in the country. It has been reported that between 1 and 8 January, a number of protesters were killed by security forces in various cities across Iran.
Available information indicates that Aref Gol Mohammadi was killed by a bullet wound to the temple. His body was reportedly found 12 days later in the Behesht-e Sakineh morgue and was identified by a tattoo on his body due to the condition of his face.
Security agencies did not permit his family to bury him in Behesht-e Sakineh. Ultimately, his body was interred in Mahdasht, Alborz Province, under security restrictions and with the presence of only a few close relatives.
