این دانشجو به همراه گروهی از دوستان دوران دبیرستان خود برای دیدار با یکی از معلمان سابقشان گرد هم آمده بودند که در جریان این دیدار، نیروهای امنیتی با ورود به محل، حاضران را بازداشت کردند.

گزارش شده است که بیشتر افراد بازداشت شده پس از مدتی آزاد شده اند، اما محمدپارسا گلچین همچنان در بازداشت باقی مانده است.
