A citizen was sentenced to one year in prison by the Revolutionary Court of Oshnavieh on charges of "acting against national security" through membership in the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan. This sentence was upheld by Branch 2 of the Provincial Court of Appeal following an objection.
Arman Ebrahimi was arrested by the Ministry of Intelligence forces in Oshnavieh in July 2025. Initially, he was transferred to the Ministry of Intelligence detention centre in Urmia for 12 days. After the interrogation period, he was moved to Oshnavieh prison and was eventually released temporarily on bail.
این شهروند توسط دادگاه انقلاب اشنویه بابت اتهام «اقدام علیه امنیت ملی» از طریق عضویت در حزب دمکرات کردستان ایران به یک سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شده بود. حکم مذکور پس از اعتراض توسط شعبه ۲ دادگاه تجدیدنظر استان عیناً تایید شد.
آرمان ابراهیمی تیرماه ۱۴۰۴ توسط نیروهای وزارت اطلاعات در اشنویه بازداشت شد. وی در ابتدا به مدت ۱۲ روز به بازداشتگاه وزارت اطلاعات در ارومیه منتقل شد و پس از پایان دوران بازجویی به زندان اشنویه منتقل و پس از چندی، نهایتاً با تودیع قرار وثیقه و به صورت موقت از این زندان آزاد شد.
