According to Human Rights in Iran, on Thursday, March 29, 2024, Farideh Moradkhani Tehrani, a civil activist and political prisoner held in Evin Prison, was granted medical leave but was deprived of the right to contact and visit her relatives due to imposed restrictions.
It is worth mentioning that Farideh Moradkhani Tehrani was arrested on November 23, 2022, after being summoned to the first branch of the Enforcement of Judgments Office of the District 33 Prosecutor's Office in Tehran, located in Evin Prison. She was detained and transferred to that prison to serve her three-year prison sentence.
This civil activist was previously arrested on January 13, 2022, by agents of the Ministry of Intelligence while on her way home. After being transferred to her residence, her home was searched, and some personal belongings were confiscated. She was then taken to Ward 209 of the security agency for interrogation and charges. After undergoing interrogation and investigation, she was released on May 1, 2022, on a bail of 10 billion tomans.
With the start of legal proceedings, Farideh Moradkhani Tehrani was tried by the Special Clerical Court and sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment, which was reduced to three years on appeal.
Additionally, the basis for Farideh Moradkhani Tehrani's release, besides posting bail, included a ban on civil and social activities, no contact with other civil or political activists, and a prohibition on leaving Tehran until the end of the legal proceedings.
Previously, in 2015, this civil activist was involved in protests known as the Dena Tire protests. Along with several other civil activists, she was arrested after participating in these weekly protests, which were held in opposition to economic corruption in the country and demanded the release of political prisoners. After being detained and transferred to Evin Prison and then Qarchak Varamin Prison, she was tried by the Tehran Criminal Court Branch 2 for disturbing public order and sentenced to three months of imprisonment.
This sentence was changed to a three-month suspended sentence after an appeal and referral to the Tehran Province Court of Appeal.
Farideh Moradkhani Tehrani is the niece of Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic.
در تاریخ ۱۰ اسفند ماه ۱۴۰۲، فریده مرادخانی تهرانی، فعال مدنی و زندانی سیاسی محبوس در زندان اوین، به مرخصی درمانی اعزام شده است. اما او به دلیل اعمال محدودیت، از حق تماس و دیدار با بستگان خود محروم شده است.
فریده مرادخانی تهرانی، در تاریخ ۲ آذر ماه ۱۴۰۱، پس از احضار به شعبه اول اجرای احکام دادسرای ناحیه ۳۳ تهران واقع در زندان اوین، بازداشت و برای تحمل حبس تعزیری ۳ سال خود به آن زندان منتقل شد.
این فعال مدنی، در تاریخ ۲۳ دی ماه ۱۴۰۰، توسط ماموران وزارت اطلاعات در حالی که عازم منزل خود بود، در خیابان بازداشت شد. پس از انتقال او به محل سکونت و تفتیش منزل، برخی لوازم شخصی توقیف و سپس جهت بازجویی و تفهیم اتهام به بند ۲۰۹ آن نهاد امنیتی منتقل شد. او پس از طی مراحل بازجویی و بازپرسی، در تاریخ ۱۰ اردیبهشت ماه ۱۴۰۱، با تودیع وثیقه ای به مبلغ ۱۰ میلیارد تومان آزاد شد.
با آغاز مراحل دادرسی، فریده مرادخانی تهرانی، توسط دادگاه ویژه روحانیت محاکمه و به تحمل ۱۵ سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شد. این حکم در دادگاه تجدیدنظر به ۳ سال حبس تعزیری کاهش یافت.
مبنای آزادی فریده مرادخانی تهرانی، علاوه بر تودیع وثیقه، شامل منع فعالیت های مدنی و اجتماعی، عدم ارتباط با سایر افراد فعال مدنی یا سیاسی و عدم خروج از تهران تا پایان مراحل دادرسی عنوان شده بود.
این فعال مدنی، پیش از این نیز در سال ۱۳۹۴، در جریان برگزاری تجمعات اعتراضی موسوم به لاستیک دنا، به همراه چند تن دیگر از فعالان مدنی بازداشت و به زندان اوین و سپس زندان قرچک ورامین منتقل شد. او پس از طی مراحل دادرسی، توسط شعبه دادگاه کیفری ۲ تهران به اتهام اخلال در نظم عمومی محاکمه و به تحمل ۳ ماه حبس تعزیری محکوم شد. این حکم پس از اعلام اعتراض و ارجاع پرونده به شعبه دادگاه تجدیدنظر استان تهران به ۳ ماه حبس تعلیقی تغییر کرد.
