Miryousef Younesi was arrested on 28 December 2022 in the city of Shahroud, Semnan Province, by agents of Iran's Ministry of Intelligence. He was transferred for interrogation to a solitary confinement cell in Ward 209, operated by the Ministry of Intelligence, and was later moved to Ward 240, administered by the Judiciary's Intelligence Protection Organization. During this period, he was denied fundamental rights afforded to detainees, including access to legal counsel of his own choosing, medical care, and the right to receive treatment. On 13 April 2023, after spending 107 days in solitary confinement and undergoing intensive interrogations, he was transferred to Ward 4 of Evin Prison.
In January 2024, Miryousef Younesi was sentenced to five years' imprisonment by Branch 26 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court. His trial was held on 31 December 2023, but according to his daughter, he was not brought before the court because he refused to wear prison clothing, and his lawyers were not permitted to present a defense.
On 12 April 2026, Miryousef Younesi was transferred from Evin Prison to Qezel Hesar Prison in Karaj. He is currently being held in General Ward 4 of that prison.
میریوسف یونسی، در تاریخ ۷ دی ماه ۱۴۰۱، در شهرستان شاهرود از توابع استان سمنان، توسط ماموران وزارت اطلاعات، بازداشت و جهت بازجویی به سلول انفرادی در بند ۲۰۹ آن ارگان امنیتی و سپس به بند ۲۴۰ حفاظت اطلاعات قوه قضاییه منتقل و طی این مدت از حقوق اولیه یک متهم برای دسترسی به وکیل مدافع مورد نظر خود، خدمات پزشکی و حق درمان محروم شد و در تاریخ ۲۴ فروردین ماه ۱۴۰۲، پس از تحمل ۱۰۷ روز سلول انفرادی و بازجویی های تحت فشار به اندرزگاه ۴ زندان اوین، منتقل شد.
میریوسف یونسی در دی ماه ۱۴۰۲ توسط شعبه ۲۶ دادگاه انقلاب تهران به پنج سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شد. جلسه رسیدگی به اتهامات او ۱۰ دی همان سال برگزار شد، اما به گفته دخترش، به دلیل امتناع از پوشیدن لباس زندان به دادگاه منتقل نشد و وکلا نیز اجازه دفاع نیافتند.
میریوسف یونسی، ۲۳ فروردین ۱۴۰۵ از زندان اوین به زندان قزلحصار کرج منتقل شده است. وی در بند عمومی چهار این زندان نگهداری می شود.
