On Thursday, June 6, 2024, Davood Shiri, a resident of Tabriz, the capital of East Azerbaijan Province, and a national civil activist, was summoned to Branch 2 of the Tabriz Revolutionary Court for trial.
According to the issued summons, Davood Shiri is scheduled to appear on July 6, 2024, to present his defense regarding charges of "propaganda against the Islamic Republic system," "assembly and collusion to commit crimes against internal/external security," "attempting assembly and collusion to commit crimes against internal security," and "membership in anti-state groups and separatist groups" at Branch 2 of the Tabriz Revolutionary Court.
It is worth mentioning that Davood Shiri was summoned for an interrogation session in mid-July 2023, which was later conducted by Investigator Mousavi, the head of Branch 15 of the Tabriz Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office.
Additionally, this national civil activist was arrested on May 18, 2023, by forces affiliated with one of the security agencies in Tabriz. After undergoing interrogation and being charged, Davood Shiri was released on June 8, 2023, on a bail of 200 million tomans.
Previously, on April 18, 2023, Davood Shiri was tried after being summoned to Branch 2 of the Tabriz Revolutionary Court, but the outcome of that trial session is not available.
On April 18, 2022, Davood Shiri was arrested by security forces in Tabriz while leaving his house. After being transferred to a detention center of one of the security agencies and undergoing interrogation procedures, he was released on June 2, 2022, on a bail of 400 million tomans.
On June 24, 2020, Davood Shiri was tried by Branch 1 of the Tabriz Revolutionary Court, presided over by Rahim Hamelbar, on charges of propaganda against the system and membership in the illegal group Gamaj. On August 1, 2020, he was acquitted of the charge of propaganda against the system but was sentenced to three years of imprisonment for membership in the Gamaj group.
After Davood Shiri filed an appeal on October 3, 2020, Branch 1 of the East Azerbaijan Court of Appeals changed the charge to attempted membership in the illegal Gamaj group and sentenced him to six months of imprisonment.
On November 17, 2019, following a raid by Tabriz Intelligence Office agents at his workplace, Davood Shiri was arrested after a search and seizure of personal belongings. After undergoing interrogation procedures, he was released on February 26, 2020, on bail.
به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران، روز پنجشنبه ۱۷ خرداد ماه ۱۴۰۳، داوود شیری، ساکن شهر تبریز مرکز استان آذربایجان شرقی و فعال ملی مدنی، برای محاکمه به شعبه ۲دادگاه انقلاب تبریز احضار شد.
براساس ابلاغیه صادره مقرر شده تا داوود شیری، در تاریخ ۱۶ تیر ماه ۱۴۰۳، برای ارائه دفاعیات خود از بابت اتهامات «تبلیغ علیه نظام جمهوری اسلامی»، «اجتماع و تبانی علیه ارتکاب جرم بر ضد امنیت داخلی/خارجی»، «شروع به اجتماع و تبانی برای ارتکاب جرم بر ضد امنیت داخلی» و «عضویت در جمعیت های معارض کشور عضویت در گروههای تجزیه طلب » در شعبه ۲ دادگاه انقلاب تبریز، احضار شده است.
لازم به اشاره است، داوود شیری، اواسط تیر ماه ۱۴۰۲، به جلسه بازپرسی احضار و در چندی بعد توسط بازپرس موسوی ـ رئیس شعبه ۱۵ دادسرای انقلاب تبریز، برگزار شده بودند.
همچنین، این فعال ملی مدنی، در تاریخ ۲۸ اردیبهشت ماه ۱۴۰۲، توسط نیروهای وابسته به یکی از ارگانهای امنیتی در تبریز، بازداشت و پس از طی مراحل بازجویی ها و تفهیم اتهام، داوود شیری، در تاریخ ۱۸ خرداد ماه ۱۴۰۲، با تودیع وثیقه ای به مبلغ ۲۰۰ میلیون تومان، آزاد شد.
داوود شیری، پیشتر هم در تاریخ ۲۹ فرودین ماه ۱۴۰۲، پس از احضار به شعبه ۲ دادگاه انقلاب شهر تبریز، محاکمه شد اما اطلاعی از نتیجه آن جلسه دادرسی در دسترس نیست.
داوود شیری، در تاریخ ۲۹ فروردین ماه ۱۴۰۱، هنگام خروج از منزل، توسط نیروهای امنیتی در شهر تبریز بازداشت و پس از انتقال به بازداشتگاه یکی از ارگانهای امنیتی و طی مراحل بازجوئی در تاریخ ۱۲ خرداد ماه ۱۴۰۱، با تودیع وثیقه ای به مبلغ ۴۰۰ میلیون تومان آزاد شده یود.
داوود شیری، در تاریخ ۴ تیر ماه ۱۳۹۹، توسط شعبه ۱ دادگاه انقلاب تبریز به ریاست رحیم حملبر، از بابت اتهام فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام و عضویت در گروه غیرقانونی گاماج محاکمه و در تاریخ ۱۱ مرداد ماه ۱۳۹۹، از اتهام فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام تبرئه و با اتهام عضویت در گروه گاماج به تحمل ۳ سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شده بود.
پس از اعلام اعتراض داوود شیری، در تاریخ ۱۲ مهر ماه ۱۳۹۹، شعبه ۱ دادگاه تجدیدنظر استان آذربایجان شرقی، این فعال ملی مدنی را پس از تغییر عنوان اتهامی به اقدام به عضویت در غیرقانونی گاماج ، به تحمل ۶ ماه حبس تعزیری محکوم کرد.
داوود شیری، در تاریخ ۲۶ آبان ماه ۱۳۹۸، در پی یورش ماموران اداره اطلاعات تبریز به محل کار وی پس از تفتیش محل کسب و ضبط لوازم شخصی بازداشت و پس از طی مراحل بازجوئی در تاریخ ۷ اسفند ماه ۱۳۹۸، با تودیع وثیقه آزاد شد.
