Sara Hamzei, the spouse of Amir Hossein Oveysi and a resident of Canada, was among the passengers on flight PS752. She traveled to Iran with her husband and their daughter, Asal, to attend the wedding ceremony of Sara's brother and the engagement ceremony of Amir Hossein's sister. On their return journey to Toronto, their aircraft was targeted by a missile fired by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The missile strike caused the aircraft to crash, resulting in the deaths of all passengers on board.
