Saeed Saeedi was arrested on 29 December 2023 and was held in detention for four months, spending three of those months in a security detention centre in Urmia. He was then transferred to Urmia Central Prison, where he spent an additional month. During this period, a case was filed against him and transferred to Tehran.
Due to the family's efforts and Saeed Saeedi's poor physical condition during detention, he was granted a three-day leave on a bail of 3 billion tomans. Following this, he left Iran and sought asylum in a neighbouring country.
On 12 March 2024, the Second Branch of the Revolutionary Court of Urmia issued a bail acceptance order for Saeed Saeedi's temporary release and communicated it to Urmia Central Prison. Additionally, on 13 March 2024, the detention branch of the Urmia Region One Registry Office officially seized the property.
In recent months, Saeed Saeedi's family, who are related to the political activist now residing abroad and formerly detained in Urmia, have been summoned and pressured by security agencies to disclose his whereabouts. Furthermore, the bail for the former detainee, amounting to 3 billion tomans, has been confiscated.
سعید سعیدی در تاریخ ۹ دی ۱۴۰۲ بازداشت و به مدت چهار ماه تحت بازداشت قرار گرفت که سه ماه آن را در یکی از بازداشتگاه های امنیتی ارومیه سپری کرد. او سپس به زندان مرکزی ارومیه منتقل شد و یک ماه دیگر را نیز در این زندان گذراند. در این مدت، پرونده ای علیه او تشکیل و به تهران منتقل شد.
به دلیل پیگیری های خانواده و وضعیت جسمی نامناسب سعید سعیدی در دوران بازداشت، به او سه روز مرخصی با وثیقه ۳ میلیارد تومانی داده شد. او پس از آن ایران را ترک کرده و به یکی از کشورهای همسایه پناهنده شد.
شعبه دوم دادگاه انقلاب ارومیه در تاریخ ۲۲ اسفند ۱۴۰۲ قرار قبولی وثیقه ای برای آزادی موقت سعید سعیدی صادر و به زندان مرکزی ارومیه ابلاغ کرد. همچنین در تاریخ ۲۳ اسفند ۱۴۰۲، شعبه بازداشتی اداره ثبت اسناد منطقه یک ارومیه این ملک را به صورت رسمی توقیف کرد.
خانواده سعید سعیدی، فعال سیاسی خارج از کشور و بازداشت شده سابق اهل ارومیه، طی ماه های اخیر از سوی نهادهای امنیتی احضار و تحت فشار قرار گرفته اند تا محل اقامت او را افشا کنند. همچنین وثیقه آزادی این بازداشت شده سابق به مبلغ ۳ میلیارد تومان مصادره شده است.
