On Tuesday, June 2, 2026, Amir Yousefi, a resident of the village of Salamat in the district of Bukan, was temporarily released from detention after 21 days by posting bail amounting to seven and a half billion tomans.

Amir Yousefi, a resident of Bukan, was detained by security forces. On 12 May 2026, Mr. Yousefi was taken into custody by security personnel. Following his arrest, he was held for one day at a detention centre in Bukan before being transferred to a security detention facility in Urmia. The reasons for his detention and the charges against him have not been disclosed.

According to informed sources, Amir Yousefi was arrested by government forces without the presentation of any judicial warrant. After being held for one day in the Bukan detention facility, he was transferred to one of the Intelligence Department's detention centers in Urmia for further interrogation.
