روز چهارشنبه ۲۳ اردیبهشت ۱۴۰۵، «فروزان اسلامی» اهل ارومیه، مدرس زبان انگلیسی و مسئول آکادمی زبان «نوجوان»، توسط نیروهای امنیتی بازداشت و به مکان نامعلومی منتقل شد.
بر اساس گزارش یک منبع مطلع، نیروهای امنیتی بدون ارائه حکم قضایی اقدام به بازداشت این مدرس زبان انگلیسی کرده اند.
این منبع همچنین اعلام کرده است که فروزان اسلامی از بلاگرهای شناخته شده کُرد در ارومیه به شمار می رود.
تا لحظه انتشار این خبر، از دلایل بازداشت و اتهامات مطرح شده علیه وی اطلاعی در دست نیست.
با وجود اتمام مراحل بازجویی اولیه، شعبه بازپرسی دادسرای عمومی و انقلاب ارومیه با تودیع قرار وثیقه و آزادی موقت خانم نوجوان موافقت نکرده و دستور تمدید بازداشت وی را صادر کرده است. او در تمام این مدت از حق دسترسی به وکیل منتخب و ملاقات حضوری با خانواده خود محروم بوده است.
وی به زندان مرکزی ازومیه (زندان دریا) برده شده است.

On 13 May 2026, Forouzan Eslami, an English language teacher and head of the "Nojavan" language academy from Urmia, was detained by security forces and taken to an undisclosed location. According to a knowledgeable source, the security forces conducted the arrest without presenting a judicial warrant. The source also indicated that Forouzan Eslami is considered a well-known Kurdish blogger in Urmia. As of the time of this report, the reasons for the arrest and the charges against her remain unknown.
Despite the completion of the initial interrogation process, the investigative branch of the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor’s Office in Urmia has refused to accept bail and grant the teenage girl temporary release, and has instead ordered the extension of her detention. She has been deprived of access to a lawyer of her choice and in-person visits with her family throughout this entire period.
Upon completion of all initial interrogations, she has been transferred to Orumiyeh’s Central Prison (Darya Prison).
