On Friday, September 15, 2023, Maryam Mehrabi was sentenced to imprisonment and flogging by Branch 2 of the Criminal Court in Mobarakeh County, a part of Isfahan Province.
Recently, Maryam Mehrabi, a teacher residing in Mobarakeh County and the sister of Mahmoud Mehrabi, a civil activist detained and in limbo in Dastgerd Prison, Isfahan, was sentenced to 74 lashes and 3 months in prison after being tried in Branch 102 of the Criminal Court 2 in Mobarakeh.
According to the verdict issued by the judge of Branch 102 of the Criminal Court 2 in Mobarakeh County, Maryam Mehrabi was sentenced to 74 lashes and 3 months in prison for the charge of "disturbing court order."
Additionally, in another part of this ruling, Maryam Mehrabi's sentence of 74 lashes was converted to a fine of 3,100,000 tomans, and her 3-month prison sentence was converted to a payment of 1,500,000 tomans to the state treasury.
According to a knowledgeable source in an interview with the Human Rights reporter in Iran: "This case against Ms. Mehrabi was formed after she got into a verbal altercation with the case investigator during the court session and the reading of charges against her brother, Mahmoud Mehrabi."
روز جمعه ۲۴شهریور ماه ۱۴۰۲، مریم مهرابی، توسط شعبه دادگاه کیفری ۲ شهرستان مبارکه از توابع استان اصفهان به حبی و شلاق محکوم شد.
به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران، طی روزهای اخیر، مریم مهرابی، معلم، ساکن شهرستان مبارکه از توابع استان اصفهان و خواهر محمود مهرابی فعال مدنی محبوس و بلاتکلیف در زندان دستگرد اصفهان، پس از محاکمه در شعبه ۱۰۲ دادگاه کیفری۲ مبارکه، به ۷۴ ضربه شلاق و ۳ ماه حبس محکوم شد.
براساس حکم صادره توسط قاضی شعبه ۱۰۲ دادگاه کیفری۲ شهرستان مبارکه؛ مریم مهرابی از بابت اتهام(اخلال در نظم دادگاه) به ۷۴ ضربه شلاق و ۳ ماه حبس محکوم شده است.
همچنین، در بخش دیگری از این حکم، حکم ۷۴ ضریه شلاق مریم مهرابی به پرداخت ۳ میلیون و ۱۰۰ هزار تومان جریمه نقدی و ۳ ماه حبس تعزیری وی نیز به پرداخت ۱ میلیون و ۵۰۰ هزار تومان وجه نقد به صندوق دولت، تبدیل شده است.
به نقل از یک فرد مطلع در گفتگو با گزارشگر حقوق بشر در ایران:”تشکیل این پرونده بر علیع خانم مهرابی پس از آن صورت گرفت که هنگام برگزاری جلسه دادرسی و تفهیم اتهام برادرش ـ محمود مهرابی، با بازپرس پرونده درگیری لفظی پیدا کرده بود.”
