On February 20, 1979, the second group of senior military leaders of the Pahlavi regime were executed by firing squad on the rooftop of the Refah School in Tehran, which was the temporary location of the Revolutionary Court.
Colonel Yaghoub Tabee, also known in some sources as Nematollah Tabee, was an officer listed for execution on 20 February 1979. At that time, he served as the commander of the Kermanshah Armoured Brigade or, according to some accounts, the commander of the Ghasr-e Shirin Garrison. The main charge against him in the Revolutionary Court was issuing orders to fire on demonstrators in Kermanshah and Ghasr-e Shirin and attempting to suppress the revolution in border areas.
