Major General Seyed Reza Naji of the Imperial Iranian Army served as the military governor of Isfahan Province and the commander of the Artillery and Missile Centre in Isfahan. Following the 1979 revolution, he was arrested, tried, and sentenced to death by a ruling from Sadegh Khalkhali, a religious judge of the Revolutionary Court. The sentence was carried out on 15 February 1979 on the rooftop of the Refah School located on Ain al-Dowleh Street in Iran, along with three other army commanders, by order of Khomeini.

پس از انقلاب ۱۳۵۷ او دستگیر، محاکمه و به حکم صادق خلخالی قاضی شرع دادگاه انقلاب به اعدام محکوم شد. حکم وی و سه نفر دیگر از امرای ارتش در تاریخ ۲۶ بهمن ۱۳۵۷ بر پشت بام مدرسه رفاه واقع در خیابان عین الدوله (ایران) به فرمان خمینی اجرا گردید.
