On February 20, 1979, the second group of senior military leaders from the Pahlavi regime were executed by firing squad on the rooftop of the Refah School in Tehran, which served as the temporary location for the Revolutionary Court.
Brigadier General Hossein Hamdaniyan, an officer associated with the security structure of the Pahlavi government, was known as the head of SAVAK in Kermanshah. Following the 1979 revolution, he was arrested. Reports from the Abdorrahman Boroumand Foundation and historical sources indicate that he was convicted on charges including "corruption on earth," "treason," "plundering the national treasury," and "murder," and subsequently executed.
