کریم مسعودی، اهل ارومیه، در تاریخ 18 دی 1404 در جریان اعتراضات مردمی این شهر توسط نیروهای امنیتی بازداشت شد. پس از مدتی نگهداری در بازداشتگاه پلیس امنیت، به زندان مرکزی ارومیه منتقل شد. او از سوی شعبه سوم دادگاه انقلاب اسلامی ارومیه با اتهام اقدام علیه امنیت ملی به دو سال حبس محکوم شده که 18 ماه آن به حالت تعلیق درآمده است.
