While running in a deadend alley, Behnam is caught by security agents. they shot Behnam, gets off the motorcycle, watches Behnam bleeding, doesn't allow Ghazal and others to get close to Behnam, keeps standing with the gun above Behnam's head, Behnam's bleeding becomes more severe, officers leaving the place, one of the neighbours who is a doctor came to see Behnam, but it's been too late.37yearold Behnam dies on the way to the hospital, the family found out and came to the hospital, Behnam's lifeless body was left on the floor in the morgue. At the same time, the agents came to the hospital to take Behnam's body, the family resisted. On 25 September, Behnam is delivered with the condition that they announce his death was due to a stroke. They didn't sell the grave to the family in the cemetery and the family had to bury him at the end of the cemetery with heavy presence of officers. Behnam's girlfriend, Ghazal Ghasemi, was arrested and admitted to a psychiatric hospital. At the same time, Behnam's sister said: "They told us to be silent, but we are shouting for them to hear. Behnam gave his life for each of our demands, Behnam gave his life for liberation."
Behnam was a tattoo designer and artist.
