On Friday, August 2, 2024, Sasan Khanzadeh Khartoumi, son of Alireza, born in 1992 and a resident of Rasht, the capital of Gilan Province, is serving a sentence of three years and one day in the Misagh ward of Lakan Central Prison in Rasht.
A knowledgeable source reported that Sasan Khanzadeh had previously received a summons to serve his sentence and was arrested on June 11, 2024, after appearing at Branch 5 of the Enforcement of Judgments of the Rasht Prosecutor's Office and was transferred to the Misagh ward of Lakan Prison.
The source further noted that the legal proceedings in Mr. Khanzadeh's case were completely unfair, as his initial sentence was issued in absentia.
It should be noted that during the legal proceedings, Sasan Khanzadeh was tried by Judge Mehdi Rasekhi, head of Branch 3 of the Revolutionary Court of Rasht, and was sentenced to three years and one day in prison for "inciting and deceiving people into war and killing with the intent to disrupt national security" and an additional seven months and 16 days for "propaganda activities against the regime in favor of opposition groups."
In 2022, Sasan Khanzadeh was arrested by security forces in Rasht and, after being transferred to a detention center of a security agency in Gilan Province, was released on bail following interrogation and being charged.
After the completion of the legal proceedings, despite being deprived of the right to a fair trial as a defendant, Sasan Khanzadeh was arrested on June 11, 2024, by judicial order from the deputy prosecutor of Branch 5 of the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office of Rasht, to serve his prison sentence and was transferred to the Misagh ward of Lakan Prison.

به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران، در جمعه ۱۲ مرداد ماه ۱۴۰۳، ساسان خانزاده خرطومی، فرزند: علیرضا، متولد ۱۳۷۱ اهل و ساکن شهر رشت مرکز استان گیلان، درحال سپری کردن دوران حبس تعزیری ۳ سال و ۱ روزه خود در بند میثاق واقع در زندان لاکان مرکزی شهر رشت، است
به نقل از یک فرد مطلع در گفتگو با گزارشگر حقوق بشر در ایران:”ساسان خانزاده، پیشتر با دریافت ایلاغیه ای برای سپری کردن دوران حبس خود احضار شده بود و در تاریخ ۲۲ خرداد ماه ۱۴۰۳، پس از حضور در شعبه ۵ اجرای احکام دادسرای شهر رشت، دستگیر و به بند میثاق واقع در زندان لاکان، منتقل شد.”
این فرد مطلع در ادامه افزود:”روند دادرسی به پرونده آقای خانزاده صد در صد ناعادلانه بود چون حکم بدوی وی بصورت غیابی صادر شده بود.”
لازم به اشاره است، ساسان خانزاده، در مراحل دادرسی، توسط قاضی مهدی راسخی ـ رئیس شعبه ۳ دادگاه انقلاب شهر رشت، محاکمه و از بابت اتهام «تحریک و اغوای مردم به جنگ و کشتار به قصد برهم زدن امنیت کشور» به تحمل ۳ سال و ۱ روز حبس تعزیری و به اتهام «فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام به نفع گروههای مخالف نظام» هم به تحمل ۷ ماه و ۱۶ روز حبس تعزیری، محکوم شد.
ساسان خانزاده، در سال ۱۴۰۱، توسط نیروهای امنیتی در شهر رشت، دستگیر و پس از انتقال به بازداشتگاه یکی از نهادهای امنیتی ـ انتظامی در استان گیلان و طی مراحل بازجویی ها و تفهیم اتهام با تودیع قرار وثیقه آزاد شده بود.
پس از اتمام مراحل دادرسی، علیرغم اینکه ساسان خانزاده از حق دادرسی عادلانه بعنوان یک متهم محروم شده بود در تاریخ ۲۲ خرداد ماه ۱۴۰۳، برای سپری کردن دوران حبس تعزیری خود، با دسور قضایی دادیار شعبه ۵ اجرای احکام دادسرای عمومی و انقلاب رشت، دستگیر و به بند میثاق واقع در زندان لاکان، منتقل شد.
