مهدی خانکی از بازداشت شدگان پرونده ای امنیتی در استان البرز بود که به اتهام «محاربه» و «افساد فی الارض» از سوی دستگاه قضایی جمهوری اسلامی به اعدام محکوم شد. بنا بر گزارش های رسمی، او در بهمن ۱۴۰۴ در کرج بازداشت شد و حکومت مدعی بود که در منزلش سلاح، مهمات و مواد مرتبط با ساخت مواد منفجره کشف شده است. حکم اعدام او پس از تأیید در دیوان عالی کشور، در ۳۱ تیر ۱۴۰۵ اجرا شد.
Mehdi Khanki, who was detained in connection with a security case in Alborz Province, was sentenced to death by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic on charges of "enmity against God" and "corruption on earth." According to official reports, he was arrested in Karaj in February 2026. Authorities claimed that weapons, ammunition, and materials related to the construction of explosives were discovered at his residence. His death sentence was carried out on 31 July 2026, following confirmation by the Supreme Court.
