Branch 15 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Salavati, has sentenced political prisoner Arghavan Fallahi, held in Evin Prison, to death. This verdict was communicated to her defence lawyer on 1 July 2026.
Arghavan Fallahi was arrested in Shiraz on 14 November 2022. Her arrest followed the detention of her brother, Ardavan, during a protest in Isfahan on 3 November 2022. After her arrest, she was transferred to Isfahan and held for two months under investigation. On 12 February 2023, she was moved to solitary confinement in Ward 209 of Evin Prison and was transferred to the women's ward of Evin Prison a month later.
Her lawyer has stated that there has been an obstruction in declaring representation and reviewing her case file. The charges against Arghavan Fallahi include waging war against God, spreading corruption on earth through extensive actions against the country, and assembly and collusion to commit crimes against national security.
She remains detained in Evin Prison without resolution, and her release on bail has been denied. It has also been reported that she is at risk of execution.
On 9 July 2023, Arghavan Fallahi's legal case was referred to the Tehran Revolutionary Court, and she is awaiting the assignment of a branch and the scheduling of her trial. Her defence lawyer has reported the issuance of a summons for trial and the prevention of her release until the court session is held. The charges against Arghavan Fallahi include membership in opposition groups with the intent to disrupt national security, assembly and collusion to commit crimes against internal and external security, and propaganda activities against the Islamic Republic. It has also been announced that the charges of waging war against God and spreading corruption on earth have been removed from her indictment.
شعبه ۱۵ دادگاه انقلاب تهران به ریاست قاضی صلواتی، ارغوان فلاحی، زندانی سیاسی محبوس در زندان اوین، را به اعدام محکوم کرده است. این حکم در تاریخ ۱۰ تیر ۱۴۰۵ به وکیل مدافع او ابلاغ شده است.
ارغوان فلاحی در تاریخ 23 آبان 1401 در شیراز دستگیر شد. دستگیری او پس از بازداشت برادرش اردوان در تظاهراتی در اصفهان در تاریخ 12 آبان انجام شد. پس از دستگیری، او به اصفهان منتقل و به مدت دو ماه تحت بازرسی قرار گرفت. در تاریخ 23 بهمن 1401، او به سلول انفرادی در بند 209 زندان اوین منتقل شد و یک ماه بعد به بند زنان زندان اوین منتقل گردید.
وکیل او اعلام کرده است که از اعلام وکالت و مطالعه پرونده موکلش ممانعت به عمل آمده است. اتهامات ارغوان فلاحی شامل محاربه، افساد فی الارض از طریق اقدام گسترده علیه کشور و اجتماع و تبانی برای ارتکاب جرم بر ضد امنیت کشور می باشد.
او در زندان اوین به صورت بلاتکلیف زندانی است و از آزادی او با وثیقه ممانعت به عمل می آید. همچنین اعلام شده است که او در خطر اعدام قرار دارد.
در تاریخ 18 تیر 1402، پرونده قضایی ارغوان فلاحی به دادگاه انقلاب تهران ارجاع شده و این شهروند در انتظار تعیین شعبه و تاریخ برگزاری جلسه دادرسی خود می باشد. وکیل مدافع او از صدور قرار جلب به دادرسی و ممانعت از آزادی تا زمان برگزاری جلسه دادگاه خبر داده و اتهامات ارغوان فلاحی را شامل عضویت در گروه های مخالف نظام به قصد برهم زدن امنیت کشور، اجتماع و تبانی برای ارتکاب جرم بر ضد امنیت داخلی و خارجی و فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام جمهوری اسلامی ذکر کرده است. همچنین اعلام شده است که اتهامات محاربه و افساد فی الارض از کیفرخواست این شهروند حذف شده است.
