Pouria Vahidian was arrested on 18 November 2020 and transferred to Evin Prison, where he was interrogated. He was held in solitary confinement in Ward 209 of Evin Prison for 50 days. Subsequently, on 18 December 2020, he was moved to Greater Tehran Prison and, after one day, transferred to Ghezel Hesar Prison.
Earlier, in August 2018, Pouria Vahidian had been sentenced to three and a half years of imprisonment on charges of supporting an organisation. He was detained for over a year in Rajai Shahr Prison in Karaj and was sentenced in absentia by the Shahriar Revolutionary Court to two years of imprisonment on charges of assembly and collusion with the intent to act against national security. This sentence was unexpectedly communicated to him in the guard officer's room.
After completing his sentence, Pouria Vahidian was released from Ghezel Hesar Prison. On 30 March 2023, he was arrested by Ministry of Intelligence agents in Robat Karim County and transferred to solitary confinement in Ward 209 of Evin Prison. It has been reported that he is detained in four-person rooms in Ward 209 of Evin Prison without clear charges and is deprived of basic rights as a detainee. His lawyer visited the Evin Prison Prosecutor's Office and was informed that he is under interrogation, with any responses pending the completion of the interrogations.
As of 8 July 2025, Pouria Vahidian is incarcerated in Greater Tehran Prison.
پوریا وحیدیان در تاریخ ۲۸ آبان ۱۳۹۹ دستگیر و به زندان اوین منتقل شد و تحت بازجویی قرار گرفت. او به مدت ۵۰ روز در انفرادی ۲۰۹ اوین زندانی بود. سپس در تاریخ ۸ دی ۱۳۹۹ به زندان تهران بزرگ منتقل شد و پس از یک روز به زندان گوهردشت انتقال یافت.
پیشتر، در مرداد ۱۳۹۷، پوریا وحیدیان به اتهام هواداری از یک سازمان به ۳ سال و نیم حبس تعزیری محکوم شده بود. او بیش از یک سال در زندان رجایی شهر کرج در بازداشت بود و توسط دادگاه انقلاب شهریار به اتهام اجتماع و تبانی به قصد اقدام علیه امنیت کشور به طور غیابی به ۲ سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شد. این حکم به طور ناگهانی در اتاق افسر نگهبانی به او ابلاغ شد.
پوریا وحیدیان پس از پایان دوران محکومیت از زندان گوهردشت آزاد شد. در تاریخ ۱۰ فروردین ۱۴۰۲، او در شهرستان رباط کریم توسط ماموران وزارت اطلاعات بازداشت و به سلول انفرادی در بند ۲۰۹ زندان اوین منتقل شد. گزارش شده است که او در اتاق های ۴ نفره بند ۲۰۹ زندان اوین محبوس و بلاتکلیف است و از حقوق اولیه یک متهم محروم است. وکیل او به دادسرای زندان اوین مراجعه کرده و اعلام شده که او تحت بازجویی است و هرگونه پاسخگویی به اتمام بازجویی ها موکول شده است.
در تاریخ ۲۸ تیر ۱۴۰۴، پوریا وحیدیان در زندان بزرگ تهران زندانی است.
