Zhina Modarres Gorji

According to the Human Rights Organization in Iran, on Monday, July 12, 1402, Zhina Modares Gorji, a women's rights activist, was imprisoned and undecided in the correctional center of Sanandaj city, the capital of Kurdistan province, after 84 days of temporary detention, she was released on the amount of 5 billion tomans bail. According to this report, Zhina Modares, was released on bail after her charges were explained, and this women's rights activist must wait to receive the notice of her hearing.

Zhina Modares Gorji, a journalist and women's rights activist was arrested in Sanandaj City on Monday, April 10, 2023.

At the time of arrest Farzad Saifikaran, a journalist, wrote on his Instagram account that Mrs Gerji was "kidnapped" at her workplace, Jira bookstore, by several agents who did not introduce themselves. It was unclear from which organization they were.
According to what Mr Saifikaran wrote, quoting informed sources, the arrest of this journalist was accompanied by violence. She is currently being held in the women's prison located in Sanandaj Correctional Center.

This journalist was first arrested on September 21 2022, during a protest in Sanandaj City by agents of the Sanandaj Intelligence Department.
After 40 days of detention in the women's ward of Sanandaj prison, Ms Modares Gorji was temporarily released on October 30, 2022, with a bail of 100 million tomans.
In March of last year, this wellknown journalist and activist were charged with a new charge while appearing in branch 1 of the Islamic Revolution Court in Sanandaj. The case investigator increased his bail to one billion tomans to change the arrest warrant.

In this court session, she was accused of "acting against national security" by forming an illegal group and being a member. Though initially, her charge was called "propaganda against the system".
Zhina Modares was summoned by the Sanandaj Islamic Revolution Court again in the past days in writing and by phone.
