Seyed Ali Fotouhi was one of the victims of the November 2019 nationwide protests in Qods (Qods City), Iran. On Saturday, 16 November 2019, he was shot in the heart with live ammunition and sustained critical injuries. He died several hours later at the 12 Bahman Social Security Hospital in Qods City. According to reports, he was shot by snipers positioned on the roof of a police station.
Three days later, on 19 November 2019, Ali's body was transported to Ardabil in a vehicle belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), accompanied by another vehicle acting as an escort. He was buried beside his father. Only his immediate family members were permitted to attend the burial, and they were threatened and warned not to disclose any information or speak publicly about the circumstances of his death.
سید علی فتوحی یکی دیگر از جان باخته های اعتراض های سراسری آبان ۹۸ در شهر قدس است. وی روز شنبه ۲۵ آبان ۹۸ با اصابت گلوله جنگی به قلبش زخمی شد و ساعاتی بعد در بیمارستان «۱۲ بهمن تامین اجتماعی» شهر قدس جان سپرد. تک تیر اندازان از بالای ساختمان کلانتری به وی شلیک کردند.
۳ روز بعد در ۲۸ آبان ۱۳۹۸با ماشینی که متعلق به سپاه بود و یک ماشین سواری دیگر که آن را اسکورت می کرد، پیکر علی را تا اردبیل آوردند تا در در کنار پدرش به خاک سپرده شود. فقط خانواده درجه یک حق حضور داشتند و آنها تهدید شدند که حق اطلاع رسانی ندارند.
