Eskandar Moghimi, one of those arrested during the protests in January 2026, was summoned to the Tehran Security Prosecutor's Office to serve a two-year prison sentence after the conviction was finalized. This sentence was issued following the review of his lawyer's appeal in the Tehran Provincial Court of Appeals. According to the notification dated 9 October 2026, the First Branch of the Criminal Enforcement Office of District 33 Prosecutor's Office in Tehran, known as the Shahid Moghaddas Prosecutor's Office, has given Moghimi three days to report for the execution of the sentence.
