Kamyab Ahmadi, a protester from Mamasani, was killed by gunfire on 8 January 2026 on Haft Tir Boulevard in the city. Reports indicate that a bullet struck below his chest, resulting in his death. Kamyab was an electrical engineering student at Mamasani Azad University and a boxer.
It has been reported that the mother of the deceased young man has urged athletes to keep her son's name alive. Additionally, it was reported that his body was hidden by security forces at the hospital, but the family managed to retrieve it with effort.
Videos shared on social media showed a large crowd of citizens attending his burial at the city's cemetery. He was laid to rest on 9 January. Reports suggest that after the burial ceremony, approximately 14 people were killed, and many others went missing or were injured.
Published reports indicate that on 9 January, Islamic Republic forces suppressed protesters in various cities across Iran. It was also reported that government agents pressured Kamyab Ahmadi's family to claim he was a Basij member, but the family refused. Kamyab's mother, who has lost six of her children, has asked people to keep his memory alive.
کامیاب احمدی، معترض لر ساکن ممسنی، در شامگاه ۱۸ دی ۱۴۰۴ در بلوار هفت تیر این شهر با گلوله جنگی کشته شد. گزارش ها حاکی از آن است که گلوله به زیر سینه او اصابت کرده و جان او را گرفته است. کامیاب دانشجوی رشته برق دانشگاه آزاد ممسنی و بوکسور بود.
گفته شده که مادر این جوان کشته شده از ورزشکاران خواسته است نام فرزند ورزشکارش را زنده نگه دارند. همچنین گزارش شده که پیکر او توسط نیروهای امنیتی در بیمارستان مخفی شده بود و خانواده با تلاش توانستند آن را دریافت کنند.
بر اساس ویدیوهایی که در شبکه های اجتماعی منتشر شده، جمعیت زیادی از شهروندان برای خاکسپاری او به آرامستان شهر رفتند. او در روز جمعه ۱۹ دی به خاک سپرده شد. گزارش ها حاکی از آن است که بعد از مراسم خاکسپاری، حدود ۱۴ نفر کشته و بسیاری مفقود و زخمی شدند.
در گزارش های منتشر شده آمده است که ماموران جمهوری اسلامی در روز ۱۹ دی در شهرهای مختلف ایران معترضان را سرکوب کردند. همچنین گزارش شده که ماموران حکومت خانواده کامیاب احمدی را تحت فشار قرار داده اند تا بگویند او بسیجی بوده است، اما خانواده مخالفت کرده اند. مادر کامیاب که تاکنون شش فرزندش را از دست داده، از مردم خواسته است که یاد او را زنده نگه دارند.
