Political prisoner Shiva Esmaeili, a retired engineer, is serving her sentence in Evin Prison. She was arrested by Ministry of Intelligence officers in Tehran in November 2020 and was sentenced to 10 years in prison in May 2023.
Following a bombing at Evin Prison, she was transferred to Qarchak Prison and later returned to Evin Prison. For a period, she was held in the basement of Evin Prison. Despite suffering from severe back pain for an extended period and her physical condition continuously deteriorating, prison authorities have reportedly prevented her from receiving specialised medical treatment.
زندانی سیاسی شیوا اسماعیلی، مهندس بازنشسته، که درزندان اوین دوران محکومیت خود را سپری میکند. وی در آبان۱۳۹۹ توسط مامورین وزارت اطلاعات در تهران دستگیر و در اردیبهشت ۱۴۰۲ به ۱۰سال زندان محکوم شد.
او پس از بمباران زندان اوین به زندان قرچک منتقل شد و دوباره به زندان اوین برگشت. برای مدتی او در زندان اوین در زیر زمین نگه داری میشد و با توجه به اینکه مدتهاست از درد شدید در ناحیه کمر رنج می برد و در حالی که وضعیت جسمی او مستمراً وخیم تر می شود، اما زندانبانان از مداوا و درمان تخصصی او جلوگیری می کردند.
