Azar Karvandi Mousazadeh, a political prisoner, has been held in Evin Prison since 9 July 2024 and is suffering from a heart condition. Reports indicate that she has been deprived of her basic rights due to the poor quality of medical services available.
It has been reported that Mousazadeh has been transferred to the prison infirmary multiple times; however, she requires specialized examinations from a medical professional, which have not been facilitated due to restrictions on her transfer to an external medical facility.
In January 2022, Mousazadeh was sentenced to five years of imprisonment for "collusion and conspiracy to disrupt national security" and one year for "propaganda against the regime." Additionally, she received supplementary penalties including a two-year travel ban and a two-year prohibition from membership and activity in social, political, and cultural parties and groups.
Following the issuance of her sentence and the announcement of an appeal, the ruling was confirmed by Judge Abbasali Houzan, head of Branch 36 of the Tehran Court of Appeals. The application of Article 134, which consolidates sentences, resulted in the enforcement of the maximum penalty of five years of imprisonment for Mousazadeh.
On 30 July 2023, Mousazadeh was summoned to Branch 1 of the Execution of Sentences Office of District 33 of Tehran, where she was arrested and transferred to Evin Prison to serve her five-year sentence.
This political activist was arrested in summer 2019 along with Rogheyeh Soltan Mirzani and Makhsoos Bokharaei by agents of the Ministry of Intelligence in Shahriar County. After being transferred to Evin Prison and undergoing interrogation and investigation, she was released on bail.
آذر کروندی موسی زاده، زندانی سیاسی، در تاریخ 18 تیرماه 1403، در زندان اوین به سر می برد و از بیماری قلبی رنج می برد. او به دلیل کیفیت نامطلوب خدمات درمانی از حقوق اولیه خود محروم شده است.
گزارش ها حاکی از آن است که خانم موسی زاده چندین بار به بهداری زندان منتقل شده، اما به دلیل عدم کیفیت خدمات درمانی در زندان اوین، نیاز به معاینات تخصصی از سوی پزشک متخصص دارد. با این حال، از اعزام او به مرکز درمانی خارج از زندان جلوگیری شده است.
آذر کروندی موسی زاده در دی ماه 1400، به اتهام «اجتماع و تبانی به قصد برهم زدن امنیت کشور» به تحمل 5 سال حبس تعزیری و به اتهام «فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام» به 1 سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شده بود. همچنین، به عنوان مجازات تکمیلی، به 2 سال منع خروج از کشور و 2 سال منع عضویت و فعالیت در احزاب، گروه ها و دسته جات اجتماعی، سیاسی و فرهنگی محکوم گردید.
پس از ابلاغ حکم و اعلام اعتراض، حکم مذکور از سوی قاضی عباسعلی حوزان، رئیس شعبه 36 دادگاه تجدیدنظر استان تهران، تأیید و با اعمال ماده 134 تجمیع جرائم، تحمل اشد مجازات به میزان 5 سال حبس تعزیری برای آذر کروندی موسی زاده لازم الاجرا شد.
در تاریخ 8 مردادماه 1402، آذر کروندی موسی زاده پس از احضار به شعبه اول اجرای احکام دادسرای ناحیه 33 تهران، بازداشت و برای سپری کردن دوران حبس تعزیری 5 ساله خود به زندان اوین منتقل شد.
این فعال سیاسی در تابستان 1398 به همراه رقیه سلطان میرزانی و مخصوص بخارائی توسط مأموران وزارت اطلاعات در شهرستان شهریار بازداشت و پس از انتقال به زندان اوین و طی مراحل بازجویی و بازپرسی با تودیع وثیقه آزاد شد.
