روز سه شنبه ۱۳ خرداد ماه ۱۴۰۴، این فعال ملی مدنی، ساکن شهر تبریز مرکز استان آذربایجان شرقی، توسط قاضی شعبه ۲ دادگاه انقلاب تبریز، محاکمه شد. لازم به ذکر است، در تاریخ ۲۰ دی ماه ۱۴۰۳، وی به شعبه ۱۵ بازپرسی دادسرای عمومی و انقلاب تبریز، احضار و دفاعیات نهایی، پیش از تنطیم کیفرخواست را به بازپرس شعبه مذکور ارائه کرده بود.
ابراهیم عوض زاده هم در تاریخ ۹ مهر ماه ۱۴۰۲، پس از یورش نیروهای امنیتی به منزل خواهرش در تهران، بازداشت و پس از انتقال به بازداشتگاه اداره کل اطلاعات استان آذربایجان شرقی در شهر تبریز و طی مراحل بازجویی ها و تفهیم اتهام، در نهایت به زندان مرکزی تبریز، منتقل و در تاریخ ۹ آذر ماه ۱۴۰۲، با تودیع قرار وثیقه تا اتمام مراحل دادرسی آزاد شد.
