Zeinab Rahimi is an Iranian journalist and environmental reporter who has faced legal pressure due to her critical reports.
In November 2023, she was charged with "spreading falsehoods" and "offending public decency" following the publication of an article about the death of Armita Garavand. She became the fifth journalist to face prosecution for covering this topic.
In March 2024, a court sentenced her to pay a fine. She was acquitted of the charge of "publishing indecent data." Her monetary penalty was later suspended.
