Masoud Khosravi Mohammaddoost, a 45 years old employee of the Tehran Taxi Organisation and resident of Shahriar, passed away during the events following the 2009 elections. He was married and had a 17-year-old son. There are differing accounts regarding the exact date of his death; some sources mention 15 June 2009 during a mass demonstration, while others cite the night of 20 June 2009. The incident reportedly occurred near Azadi Square or Yadegar-e-Emam Street.
After leaving work to obtain medication, he was shot in the right cheek, with the bullet exiting through the back of his head, resulting in his immediate death. Eyewitnesses informed his wife that the shooter was a plainclothes individual firing from within the ranks of special forces.
Following a period of uncertainty and searching in hospitals, his family eventually identified his body at the forensic medicine facility through a photograph, as recognised by his teenage son.
Media affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed that he was a member of the Basij who was killed by unknown individuals, and that his family had filed a complaint against Mir-Hossein Mousavi. The Mohammaddoost family denied these claims, emphasising their sole interest in identifying the true perpetrator.
Despite the presence of surveillance cameras at the scene, security and judicial authorities withheld any footage or evidence from the family's lawyer, effectively halting the investigation by claiming the assailant could not be identified.
مسعود خسروی محمددوست کارمند سازمان تاکسیرانی تهران و ساکن شهریار بود که در جریان وقایع پس از انتخابات ۱۳۸۸ جان باخت. او متاهل و دارای یک پسر ۱۷ ساله بود.
درباره تاریخ دقیق کشته شدن او دو روایت وجود دارد؛ برخی منابع آن را ۲۵ خرداد ۱۳۸۸ (در جریان راهپیمایی میلیونی) و برخی دیگر شب ۳۰ خرداد ۱۳۸۸ ذکر کرده اند. محل وقوع حادثه حوالی میدان آزادی یا خیابان یادگار امام گزارش شده است.
وی پس از خروج از محل کار، در مسیر تهیه دارو، از ناحیه صورت (گونه راست) هدف گلوله قرار گرفت که منجر به خروج گلوله از پشت سر و مرگ آنی وی شد. شاهدان عینی به همسرش گفته اند که ضارب، فردی لباس شخصی بوده که از میان نیروهای یگان ویژه شلیک کرده است.
خانواده پس از بی خبری و جست وجو در بیمارستان ها، سرانجام توسط پسر نوجوانش، تصویر پیکر او را در پزشکی قانونی شناسایی کردند.
رسانه های وابسته به سپاه (خبرگزاری فارس) مدعی شدند که او یک «بسیجی» بوده که توسط افراد ناشناس کشته شده و خانواده اش از میرحسین موسوی شکایت کرده اند. خانواده محمددوست این ادعاها را رد کرده و تأکید کردند که تنها به دنبال شناسایی قاتل اصلی هستند.
دستگاه های امنیتی و قضایی با وجود دوربین های مداربسته در محل، از ارائه هرگونه فیلم یا مدرک به وکیل خانواده خودداری کرده و پرونده را با ادعای «عدم شناسایی ضارب» عملاً متوقف کردند.
