Seyed Soheil Mousavi, 32 years old, son of Ahmad, married with two children and a resident of Golestan neighborhood in Ahvaz, was arrested by intelligence forces in July 2026 at a relative's home in Mandali neighborhood, Ahvaz. This religious activist, after enduring physical and psychological torture in detention, was transferred to Sheiban Prison in Ahvaz and is currently being held there. He was tried in Branch 12 of the Ahvaz Revolutionary Court due to his inclination towards Sunni Islam and religious activities and is still awaiting a verdict, with the status of his case remaining unclear. Reports indicate that Seyed Soheil Mousavi was also beaten by security forces at the time of his arrest.
