Behrad Ali Kanari, a singer and rapper from Khuzestan province, born in 1995, who was arrested during the nationwide protests of 2022 and is one of the defendants in the case known as the Kamalshahr protests in Karaj, was sentenced to six months of imprisonment by a judge of the Revolutionary Court of Qom province for another case and was summoned to serve his sentence.
Behrad Ali Kanari explained in a clip on his personal page that he was sentenced to six months of imprisonment, the "minimum sentence," for the charge of "collaborating with hostile media to promote propaganda against the regime."
This citizen also announced that on Saturday, August 24, 2024, he will report to the enforcement branch of the General and Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office of Qom province to serve his prison term.
This protesting rapper was arrested for the second time on May 14, 2024, by security forces in Qom province and was released on bail after undergoing interrogation and being charged. However, in July 2024, he was sentenced to six months of imprisonment by a judge of the Revolutionary Court of Qom province for the charge of "collaborating with hostile media to promote propaganda against the regime."
It is worth noting that Behrad Ali Kanari was tried on December 6, 2022, by the First Branch of the Revolutionary Court of Karaj, presided over by Mousa Asif Al-Hosseini, based on the indictment issued by the General and Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office of Karaj, for charges of "corruption on earth through committing crimes against national security," "attacking law enforcement and Basij officers," and "gathering and colluding with the intent to commit crimes against national security." After being acquitted of some charges, he was sentenced to imprisonment. However, in late April 2023, following the implementation of the "pardon and sentence reduction" directive by the judiciary and after serving part of his prison term, he was released.
روز شنبه ۳ شهریور ماه ۱۴۰۳، بهراد علی کناری، به تحمل حبس تعزیری محکوم و برای تحمل حبس احضار شد.
به گزارش حقوق بشر در ایران، طی روزهای اخیر، بهراد علی کناری، خواننده و رپر، اهل استان خوزستان، متولد: ۱۳۷۴، از بازداشت شدگان اعتراضات سراسری ۱۴۰۱ و از متهمان پرونده موسوم به اعتراضات کمالشهر کرج، از بابت پرونده ای دیگر، توسط قاضی شعبه دادگاه انقلاب استان قم به تحمل ۶ ماه حبس تعزیری محکوم و برای تحمل حبس، احضار شد.
بهراد علی کناری، با انتشار کلیپی در صفحه شخصی خود تشریح کرد؛ از بابت اتهام «همکاری با رسانه های معاند در جهت تبلیغ علیه نظام» به تحمل ۶ ماه حبس تعزیری«حداقل حکم» محکوم شدم.”
این شهروند ددر ادامه نیز اعلام کرد که امروز شنبه ۳ شهریور ماه ۱۴۰۳، برای سپری کردن دوران حبس تعزیری خود به شعبه اجرای احکام دادسرای عمومی و انقلاب استان قم، مراجعه خواهد کرد.
این رپر معترض، برای دومین مرتبه در تاریخ ۲۴ اردیبهشت ۱۴۰۳، توسط نیروهای امنیتی در استان قم، بازداشت و پس از طی مراحل بازجویی ها و تفهیم اتهام با تودیع وثیقه آزاد شده بود اما در تیر ماه ۱۴۰۳، توسط قاضی شعبه دادگاه انقلاب استان قم از بابت اتهام «همکاری با رسانه های معاند در جهت تبلیغ علیه نظام» به تحمل ۶ ماه حبس تعزیری محکوم شد.
لازم به اشاره است، بهراد علی کناری، در تاریخ ۱۵ آذر ماه ۱۴۰۱، توسط شعبه اول دادگاه انقلاب کرج به ریاست موسی آصف الحسینی، با توجه به کیفرخواست صادره از طرف دادسرای عمومی و انقلاب کرج، از بابت اتهامات «افساد فی الارض از طریق ارتکاب جرایم علیه امنیت کشور»، «حمله به ماموران انتظامی و بسیج»، «اجتماع و تبانی به قصد ارتکاب جرایم علیه امنیت کشور»، محاکمه و پس از تبرئه از برخی اتهامات به تحمل حبس تعزیری محکوم شد اما اواخر فروردین ماه ۱۴۰۲، در پی اعمال بخشنامه «عفو و کاهش مجازات» قوه قضائیه و مختومه شدن پرونده اش و تحمل بخشی از حبس تعزیری خود آزاد شده بود.
