Alireza Akbari Monfared

Alireza was a student when he was arrested on 4th June 1981 for the first time while selling the Mujahid magazine on the street and transferred to Evin Prison. After enduring 4 months of imprisonment and torture, he was released from prison in March of the same year. On 15 September 1981, during a demonstration by the heroic militia in Palestine Square in Tehran, he was arrested and transferred to Evin Prison again. He was immediately subjected to brutal torture in prison, and four days later, on 19 September 1981, without any trial or court proceedings, he was mercilessly executed by firing squad along with 85 other young members of the Mujahedin-e Khalq. During Ali-Reza's ceremony, on 28 Shahrivar 1360, security forces attacked the event and arrested attendees, including his mother and sister, Raghieh Akbari Monfared. Raghieh, who also had a young daughter, was sentenced to eight years in prison, and in 1367, while only one year remained until the end of her sentence, she was executed.
