Mohammad Ali Behkish

Mohammad Ali Behkish, who had been exposed by a member of his organization, was arrested on September 2, 1983, at a meeting in Baharestan Square (Tehran) by the IRGC stationed in the Joint Committee (Evin Ward 3000). He was held until February 1983 in the Joint Committee and then in Evin Prison. According to the interviewee, in the first days after his arrest, when he was taken home to arrest other members of his family, he was severely tortured and his feet were completely covered in blood. Mr. Mohammad Ali Behkish was tried in court and sentenced to 8 years in prison, but on September 2, 1988, after a trial that lasted a few minutes, he was hanged in the massacre of political prisoners. His family was never informed of his burial place. He was student when arrested.
