Seyed Mehdi Karimi Farsi, a lawyer and member of the Central Bar Association, has been sentenced to one year of imprisonment. This sentence was issued by Branch 29 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court on charges of "propaganda activities against the regime" and has been communicated to him.
The court session to address the charges against this lawyer was held on 5 February 2024 in Branch 29 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court. He had previously been summoned to this branch to defend himself against the charges.
In August 2023, Seyed Mehdi Karimi Farsi participated in a protest march in Tehran advocating for the independence of the Bar Association, which elicited widespread reactions among Iranian lawyers.
سید مهدی کریمی فارسی، وکیل پایه یک دادگستری و عضو کانون وکلای مرکز، به یک سال حبس تعزیری محکوم شد. این حکم توسط شعبه ۲۹ دادگاه انقلاب تهران به اتهام "فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام" صادر شده و به وی ابلاغ شده است.
جلسه دادگاه رسیدگی به اتهامات این وکیل دادگستری در تاریخ ۱۶ بهمن ۱۴۰۲ در شعبه ۲۹ دادگاه انقلاب تهران برگزار شد. وی پیشتر برای دفاع از اتهامات خود به این شعبه احضار شده بود.
