Roozbeh was detained twice during the previous regime. The first arrest occurred in 1969, resulting in a one-year prison sentence. The second arrest took place in 1973, and he was released from prison in 1979 along with other detainees. While incarcerated, he joined the Workers' Path Organisation and continued his political activities for the liberation of the people after his release.
In November 1980, Roozbeh was suspected by the Revolutionary Guards and was detained but released a few days later. His second arrest occurred in July 1982 at a relative's house, where he was detained along with his spouse, two-year-old child, two sisters, and a comrade, Mehran Shahabeddin. Roozbeh endured severe torture until November 1983, showing resilience and not divulging any organisational information. His resistance under torture is regarded as a source of pride for Iranian communists and the Workers' Path followers. Roozbeh was executed by firing squad in August 1983.
روزبه در زمان رژیم گذشته دو بار دستگیر شد. یکبار در سال ۱۳۴۸ که به یک سال زندان محکوم شد و بار دیگردر سال ۱۳۵۲، وی همراه بادیگر زندانیان در سال ۱۳۵۷ از زندان آزاد گردید. در زندان، به سازمان راه کارگران پیوست و پس از آزادی فعالیت های سیاسی خود را برای آزادی مردم ادامه داد.
او یک بار در آبان ماه سال ۱۳۵۹ ، مورد سوء ظن پاسداران قرار گرفت و دستگیر شد ، اما چند روز بعد آزاد شد. بار دوم در تیرماه سال ۱۳۶۱ در خانۀ یکی از خویشاوندان، همراه همسر، فرزند دوساله، دو خواهرش و رفیق مهران شهاب الدین دستگیر شد و تا آبان ماه ۱۳۶۲ در زیر یکی از وحشیانه ترین نمونه های شکنجه، قهرمانانه پایداری کرد و هیچ اطلاعات سازمانی به دشمن نداد. مقاومت روزبه در زیر شکنجۀ فقها، یکی از افتخارات کمونیست های ایران و مایۀ سربلندی راه کارگری هاست. او درمرداد ۱۳۶۲ تیرباران شد.
